When Roxie Alsruhe’s first son was just three days old, her son’s pediatric provider delivered some alarming news: he'd lost over 20% of his body weight. Sleep-deprived and slightly panicked, Roxie set a new mission: never waste a drop of breast milk to help her son gain weight, keep him hydrated, and to provide him with all the nutrition he needed. Easier said than done, of course. During this journey, she learned about the pain points nearly every new parent deals with.

Better Organization, Safer Milk, Happier Babies

Keeping track of all the breast milk storage guidelines was already a maze, but trying to recalculate expiration dates every time a bottle moved—or if the baby had taken a sip—was nearly impossible. And, as someone who often left full bottles on nightstands or in diaper bags, Roxie realized there had to be a better way. After many searches for a solution that could handle all the complexities of breast milk storage, there was nothing that did it all. So, she came up with the system that does the thinking, remembering, reminding, and managing of your milk supply for you.

Three weeks after launching HoopDee Hoops, Roxie and her wife welcomed their second son. This time, their feeding journey has been completely stress-free. By using HoopDee to automatically track bottle freshness and expiration, they’ve stayed organized, remained on the same page, reduced their mental load, and haven’t wasted a single drop of milk.
